Westwood on Wednesdays

 

WOW meets on Wednesday evenings for dinner from 5:30 p.m. - 6:30p.m.
 
Attending dinner is optional and there is a small fee involved to participate. 
 
Classes for all ages begin at 6:30 p.m. and run until 7:45 p.m. during the months of September – April.
Families and individuals are encouraged to participate in classes that are offered during this time. There is nursery for the youngest, Puppets 'n' Pals for toddlers to grade one, and GEMS and Cadets for middle schoolers.  There are various bible studies and classes available for adults, as well as opportunities for you to volunteer with our youth.

Here is list of the three classes offered for adults this fall:

Living Beyond Yourself: Exploring the Fruit of the Spirit – This will be the second half of a year-long Beth Moore Bible study course facilitated by Lou Deters using a video & workbook format.  You are welcome to join this class even if you did not attend in the fall.    

 

Joshua and Judges Pastor Dale Slings will continue leading a year-long in-depth Bible study using the biblical books of Joshua and Judges.

 

God is Closer Than You Think – Jan.6 through Feb. 10 – Becky Veenstra will lead a class on a book by John Ortberg, entitled God is Closer Than You Think.  This class will use a video and discussion format.  Look for a sign-up sheet on the pillar table.

 

Understanding Your Teenager – Feb. 17 through Mar. 24 – A six-week long series led by Laura TerHaar, based on the DVD “Understanding Your Teenager,” featuring Duffy Robbins, a veteran speaker and youth worker.  This will be a great class for parents and those that work with teens.
