Grace is planting new student ministries on campuses throughout the Midwest, raising up leaders to take the Gospel to new places, and leading Inter Varsity as it attempts to reach an overlooked student population on campuses throughout the Midwest: the black student community. As Regional Coordinator of this work, she is equipping this community to play a vital role in God’s worldwide mission as it partners with Christians of other cultures to advance the Gospel. Inter Varsity has spent 5 years doing a national search to fill this position. Grace’s biggest challenges include obtaining the funding for this new opportunity and learning a job that no one has done before, and providing critical support to African American missionaries in order to reverse a trend that sees black missionaries leaving the missions field. |
